About Wolf’s Dry Cleaning and Laundry Care

Wolf’s Cleaners is a family owned and operated business which has served the dry cleaning and laundry needs of it’s customers for more than 65 years. Joseph Wolf built an extremely successful dry cleaning and laundry business which included at that time 14 retail locations throughout Milwaukee, WI.

In 1977, Tom Sneed purchased Wolf’s Cleaners from Joe Wolf. Tom saw this deal to be an excellent opportunity to expand his present business and to buy into a name that represented high quality and excellent customer service for so many years. Prior to this purchase, Tom owned a One Hour Martinizing business in Hales Corners, WI and a dry cleaning drop-off store in Greendale, WI.

In the early 1980’s, Wolf’s Cleaners main focus was to service the commercial laundry needs of hospitals, hotels, nursing homes, airlines and ship lines. Because of the enormous increase in business, plans to build a larger, more modern facility were set forth. By the end of 1987, Wolf’s Cleaners new commercial laundry plant was in full operation in Cudahy, WI.

In 1993, the commercial laundry division of Wolf’s Cleaners was sold to Superior Health Linens and Todd and Elizabeth Sneed purchased the dry cleaning division from their father, Tom.

With the sale of the commercial laundry division in 1993, dry cleaning and shirt laundering became our only priority. In 1996, Wolf’s Cleaners was relocated from its original home in St. Francis, WI to our present day 6,000 square foot facility in downtown Milwaukee.
